Welcome, dearly beloved of our Father, and of our big Brother Jesus, the anointed one. May His chrisma inspire us today, and renovate our minds. This bread is distributed to all the children of promise, to bring us to a greater knowledge of who we are in Him. In these latter days, we find ourselves surrounded by "false" children (children of the flesh), and this teaching helped me, and I know will help you also, to bring to light, and identify falsehood. Let's take a look at 2 places when a "falling away" may occur, and the effects of it. There's a falling away before the eternal inheritance of promise is received, and a falling away after this is received. There's an invitation to a marriage supper, and then there's the actual supper. Can we, the children of promise (born again) fall away, and get lost? Absolutely. The difference is this. Our falling away does not take place between Egypt and the land of promise, between the invitation to the supper of promise, between conception to the birthing room (upper room), and between death row to becoming lethally injected with eternal life. Remember, our Father selected us ever before we came into existence! We were spoken into existence! This is the sure word of promise which we are born of. Their are those who resist us, who have received the invitation with joy, but in the time period from the invite to supper, they became distracted by their human desires and wants, being tempted, they fell away. As the Hebrew children that came out of Egypt. They were invited to receive the eternal inheritance of promise. However, many perished en route to the promise because of pleasure, and lusting. These are like Esau, who forfeited his birthright, for a morsel of pleasure. They will take their "invitation experience", and fabricate it into a testimony of promise. Don't be fooled, dearly beloved! The lethal injection of life (the promise) cannot be imitated! We will know them by the fruit of their lips (their testimony). Many are invited, but few are selected. In a traditional Jewish wedding, the invitations are sent out, and approximately 1 year later, the bridegroom comes for the bride, and takes her into a tent where they become intimate for the first time, and remain in the tent for 6 days. In the meanwhile, the guests will feast and celebrate. On the 7th day he brings her out of the tent for all the invited guests to see. In these 7 days, the bride experiences intimacy, love, and power, as never before. Even the guests encounter an atmosphere of intimacy and love! I'm sure these guests received their invitations with joy. However, the illustration Jesus gave was after they had received their invitations, they became consumed with earthly things, and when it was supper time, they asked to be excused from this intimacy of love. Word of truth: Many will forfeit the promise because of marrying in this time period. Do I forbid marriage? No, but I would discourage the pursuit of all carnal (soulish) relationships in the most important time period (journey) of your life! We must remain focused! We must allow the requirements of Jesus to deflate us completely (perfectly), so that we may be inflated completely (perfectly)! Our first example is concerning those who fell away in between Egypt and the land of promise (the eternal inheritance).
The Aborted Ones
Jesus gave us an illustration of a man who sows seed. The seed resembles the Word of God. There are 4 examples mentioned in this parable. It shows us what the heart condition was, and what caused the seed to eventually become aborted. And also the good heart, who after receiving the seed, obeyed the requirements of the seed with understanding, and honesty, and became fruitful. After conception lies the most fragile stage in bringing a seed to maturity. We know the hook(s) of the adversary, (cares and pleasures of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, and lusting after things), on how he tried to abort us when we were in the womb of life. O beloved, obedience was, and is, the most crucial ingredient. The umbilical cord (words of Jesus) is what fed us in that time. This is what led us to our birthing room (the promise). Word of truth: An aborted seed will never experience the birth of perfection. It will never come to adulthood. It can't be restored, or renewed. Now we know the grave danger of this journey that leads to an outpouring of life! Failing to obey the rules will lead to a premature death. This is the most dangerous stage of falling away. The letter to the Hebrews, in chapter 6, mentions this kind of falling away. There is no hitting the rock (Christ) twice, and receiving the eternal inheritance of promise, (remember Moses and the Hebrew children)? The writer reveals to us the impossibility of restoring, or of coming to adulthood, a seed who has been aborted (fallen away).
A Certain Man Had 2 Sons
Our next example of falling away comes from an illustration given by Jesus found in the gospel of Luke, chapter 15. It's about a Father with 2 sons. The younger son asked His Father for his share of the inheritance. Since he was a son, the Father went and gave him His living (eternal inheritance). Not many days later, the younger son left home, and ended up squandering his inheritance he had received from his Father due to riotous living. After coming to himself, he went back to his Father's house, and repented of his folly. The Father restored His younger son who got lost, and celebrated his coming home again with a feast of mercy and compassion. Word of truth: We who are born of the eternal inheritance of promise have an everlasting covenant of mercy extended to us from our Father, called the sure mercies of David. Peace!!
